From ABCnews.com: 'Bodies' CEO Resigns After '20/20' Report
The CEO of a company that runs a controversial exhibit of "plasticized" Chinese bodies, Premier Exhibitions, has resigned, according to an SEC filing by the company.UPDATE: As a commenter on this blog pointed out, that Bruce Eskowitz was actually appointed CEO in September 1, 2007.  This can be seen in the Form 8-K filed by Premier Exhibitions.
Arnie Geller submitted his resignation in March, weeks after a "20/20" report on the company's practices triggered an inquiry by the New York attorney general's office. The company, which never announced the change in management in a press release according to a review of its Web site, said Geller's resignation was not connected to the questions raised about the human bodies or to Geller's appearance on "20/20."
After reading the Form 8-K, I do actually believe that this is a non-news story and Geller just stepping aside. Â I believe that ABC has erred with this story.
This Sunday, April 26th 12PM-3PM, there will be a rally at the Cincinnati Museum Center where the Bodies the Exhibition is being shown. Come out and protest this ethically challenged and questionable exhibit.
This doesn't change the problems that I have with the exhibit, consent issues, provenance of the bodies, etc. Â

This is very interesting news and I do like the idea of drawing local media attention to it yet again.
But, unless I'm mistaken, the Matt Maupin funeral will take place at the same time over at Great American Ballpark. The odds of getting significant media coverage while the funeral is taking place is extremely slim.
To whomever organized the event, I'd suggest rescheduling.
Unfortunately, it's too late to reschedule. There's an Asian festival on Sunday at the Museum Center, and we're trying to draw attention of those who attend this festival.
This ABC "news" is more SLOP !!!
The Premier CEO stepped down as CEO as detailed in a company PR September 4, 2007. He brought in new mgmt ..... succession planning that had been in the works for at least a year.
This had nothing to do with ABC story. More bogus crap from ABC. Not announced .... LOL. WAS ANNOUNCED 7 MONTHS AGO.
You know, you're actually right. I will make changes in the story.
The Form 8-K from Sept 4. 2007 stating that Geller stepping down as CEO and President.
